The University of Central Florida invites applications for the position of Chair for the Department of Health Professions and Director for the Program in Physical Therapy. The Department of Health Professions is composed of three programs; Athletic Training (B.S.), Health Sciences Pre- Clinical (B.S.), and Physical Therapy (DPT). This position is a 12 month appointment, at the rank of associate or full professor. The Chair will be expected to provide visionary, dynamic leadership as well as promote the departmental mission within the university and the external community. Responsibilities will include all administrative and academic aspects of the department, including strategic planning, curriculum revision, new program development, administering and monitoring departmental budgets, attending to personnel matters, mentoring faculty, staff and students, and providing accreditation leadership. The selected candidate will be expected to serve as the Program Administrator for the DPT program. Candidates should have a strong commitment to both graduate and undergraduate education in a diverse environment and an interest in contributing to a growing interdisciplinary department.
