Spyware generally is a kind of a program that steal, collect, and transfer personal information of the computer users to the spyware programmer (By using Mail, Text, Fax, etc). Spyware is derived from adware. Spyware activity is definitely same as adware. One of them is advertise content to the computer users suddenly while users is working. The difference between adware and spyware is, adware just advertise/promote ads and not dangerous for computer. Turn off the autorun

Virus is usually came from portable media (Such as, CD/DVD, Flash Disk, SD Card) that have autorun turned on. Generally, virus use file autorun.inf to spread it?s self. Autorun.inf is a script file that demands a portable media/storage media for automatically run common commands based on the autorun.inf file. We can change the script of the autorun.inf file to run a commands based on script written on autorun.inf. So the virus can change the script also. If the users run a program that listed on autorun, it can be viruses or the link to a website that contains forbidden contents.

To turn off the autorun, you must go to Policy Editor. The steps are like this :

1. Open gpedit (By clicking,Start > Run > typegpedit.msc)
2. Go to Local Computer Policy > Computer Administrative Template > System (I?ts located on the left-side)
3. In the right-side, doube click Turn off Autoplay.
4. Click radio button Enabled and choose All Drives on Turn off Autoplay Drop-Down.
