York County School of Technology is hiring Information Technology High School Teacher with Networking Concentration

The York County School of Technology Cisco Networking Academy Program seeks a professional dynamic high school information technology teacher in the field of networking. The teacher would be responsible for developing and implementing an instructional program that focuses on the design, implementation and management of linked systems of computers, peripherals and associated software while preparing students with the technical skills required in the field of cyber security, industry certifications, and to support a variety of LAN/WAN networks and network users. This program includes instruction in networks technologies and standards: system design, architecture, operating systems, security, communications protocols, client support, messaging services, network management including routers, switches, associated wireless equipment, troubleshooting, and server optimization. Students who complete the program would be prepared to continue on to higher education in the field of Information Technology or may be employed as a network administrator, network specialist, network technician, webmaster, client services analyst (end user) or network operator.
Preferred candidate must possess a Bachelor?s degree in an Information Technology related field, at least two years of related experience, and current or be willing to earn industry Net+ and/or Cisco certifications (i.e. CCNA, CCNA Security) and be willing to obtain vocational teacher certification through Penn State University (teacher certification information available on ytech.edu website). OR candidate may possess a PDE Business Computer Information Technology Teacher certification with significant networking knowledge, related industry certifications, and experience.
