LAGOS (Reuters) - Nigerian stocks rose to their highest level in more than a month on Tuesday, buoyed by gains in its biggest listed firm Dangote Cement, traders said, on expectations of strong earnings, when the company announces full-year results this week.
The index rose almost 3 percent on volatile trades at 1319 GMT to 34,404 points, its highest since February 27.
Dangote Cement, which accounts for a third of market capitalisation on the bourse, climbed 4.38 percent to 155 naira, to lift the index. Other top gainers include Oando, Total, and Lafarge Nigerian unit WAPCO all up more than 5 percent.
